New Intellectual Property Framework in Albania

We are pleased to share our latest Newsletter on Albania’s new intellectual property framework.

Law No. 52/2025 on Trademarks and Law No. 53/2025 on Patents, Utility Models, and Supplementary Protection Certificates, both effective 16 August 2025, align national legislation with EU standards, strengthen IP protection, and introduce clearer rules on registration, licensing, and examination procedures.

These reforms represent a major step forward in enhancing legal certainty and protecting industrial property rights in Albania.
