New minimum salary in Albania

We are pleased to share our latest Tax Alert on Albania’s new national minimum wage.

Decision No. 776, adopted by the Council of Ministers on 19 December 2025, sets the minimum monthly wage at ALL 50,000 (up from ALL 40,000) and the minimum hourly wage at ALL 287.3, based on 174 working hours per month.

Effective 1 January 2026, the decision also updates the monthly bases for social and health insurance contributions, with the minimum gross salary as the lower limit (ALL 50,000).
